We've had this booster chair for well over a year now, and overall can recommend it.

Pros: The seat is attractive, sturdy and very easy to use, move, etc.

Cons:
- We have a chair with a very narrow back, and the over-the-back hooks do not stay securely in place. It would probably fit most chairs fine, but we did need to take extra measure to secure it in place.

- The straps are not removable and therefore somewhat difficult to get really clean (we throw the high chair straps through the laundry every couple days).

- The straps (the ones that hold the child, not the ones that secure the booster to the chair) also started to tear loose of the chair after a few months. In fairness our son did put those straps to the test. We bought the booster seat when our son graduated and passed down the high chair to his baby sister. He was not quite two years old at the time and a somewhat 'high energy' rambunctious little monkey.

This chair is advertised as having extra "trays" but in reality this model only has ONE extra tray. I find all the Chico colors muddy and unattractive and this is no exception. It was much cheaper here than at the local stores and we needed 2 chairs for our 2 new grandkids and I need them to fold and be stored between uses. The Chico apparently folds as flat or flatter than other chairs of its kind, but I miss the circa-1970 Cosco high chairs we had for our kids! They were nice metal chairs with metal tray and folded VERY flat! I sure wish I had kept ours when we moved to AZ! I am not impressed with all this overpriced plastic crapola with the "bells and whistles". I don't think this chair will be sturdy enough to be able to serve as a youth chair for a rambunctious toddler, but I hope I am wrong since it was so expensive. I waited a LONG time for it to arrive also. When it arrived it wasn't the high chair it was a box of 4 bed guard rails! I was very disappointed after we had already waited so long for it to arrive. I noticed that the outer front wheel does NOT roll (ONLY the inner front wheel rolling) on certain surface and i thought it is a defect. I have NO problem closing and opening the stroller with the buggy buddy on it.. unlike some reviewers stated they have to removed it before closing their stroller. For my case, it work well!!

The basket keep coming out of the hook, maybe mine is still new so material is abit stiff.. but i just sew tight it to the hook, no issue

Overall, i am happy with the stroller.. it is well made than Peg Perego.. in term of those parts that are made from plastic, eg child tray.. Peg Perego one look flimsy and thin, can broke any min.. Inglesina one is thicker and much better plastic..

Obviously most people seem to really like this product but in my opinion it is a waste of money. All you have to do is look up how to make baby food online, buy some trays with lids and you can totally skip buying this.

The DVD: Basically useless. Not very long at all, they're telling you common sense things or things you can look up online and they are so DORKY!! I could barely even stand to watch them it was just that Dorky. Real people just don't act like that, it was annoying.

You get a sheet that tells you what foods to introduce and when. This is the same information your Pediatrician will tell you or that you can look up online. Plus, they don't even include all foods they are allowed to have.

The book basically just tells you the ages to introduce foods and common sense things like combine sweet potatoes with apples or combine sweet potatoes with pears. DUH, like who doesn't know you can combine baby foods.

And the trays, you can buy ice cube trays with lids. Or other containers with lids that will work.

- it can be washed (delicates / air dry or hang dry) but you have to remove some screws each time you do this ~ this is the only reason why the seat cover is listed under the cons. The way around this is to clean it using disinfectant wipes and it works fine and we never had problems w/ the plastic as noted in some of the reviews (even after washing)

Pros:

1) Multi-purpose use, of course - high chair & desk/chair!

2) Very sturdy
- both as a high chair and as a chair & desk
- my daughter can climb on it with ease and I don't have to worry about her flipping over while going on/off of it (unlike other toddler chairs)

3) Easy to clean - use disinfectant wipes!

4) My daughter just loves sitting on it
- She loved it as a high chair (9 months onwards) which allowed me to do some chores while she ate her food/snacks
- Now that she's almost 2, she loves it as a desk/chair - it's where she eats her snacks and colors/scribbles w/ her paper & crayons

I'd rate it 4.5 stars. :)

This is by far one of the most annoying boosters I have ever purchased.

I am trying to find another to replace it so I can finally toss this thing to the dumpster!

To begin with, whichever reviewer said that this booster has no cracks or crevices (which was why I bought the booster in the first place) was entirely incorrect. Not only does it have 1/2 inch gaps between the armrest areas and the blue booster base/frame, but it also has holes in the seat and in the bottom of the base. That means that any little crumb or spill makes its way either through the holes and then gets the whole hollow base a mess and then the chair a mess (which you have to constantly have to lift the booster up to wipe off the chair's seat area and wipe out the booster base - annoying in itself because the rubber grippers that keep the booster on the chair are poked through the base so the washrag always catches inside and you just can't get out all the crumbs because they get stuck by these gripper things) or even worse - spills - roll right down the holes in the seat, right into the holes in the base, and then slowly seep all over your chair and down the floor. Not to mention the gaps by the arms - TONS of food falls down there to remain until you take the thing off the chair, disassemble it all, and clean it out.

This is the only high chair I've ever used, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. There are some cons so I'll get those out of the way first.

1) even though it has wheels, it's not a smooth beast to move. But, if you're keeping it in one spot for the most part, it shouldn't be a problem.

2) the chair pad traps lots of yuck between it and the sides of the chair. I was always a favorite place for my girly to put her dinner when done. It took a while to realize it was there. Yes, gross! We ended up taking the pad off totally once she was a little older. She doesn't sit long enough to get uncomfortable without the pad. Clean-up now is a breeze.

3) it doesn't stand up by itself when folded; it falls down if you even breathe too deeply. Pain in the butt if you are trying to transport it. For me that is the biggest irritant. Before we had a travel booster seat, we would bring it with us for get togethers. New baby, car seat, snowsuit, blanket, pacifier, bag, extra bag with extra everything, and the stupid high chair that wouldn't take care of itself! But if you aren't going to be folding it not to worry.

Now for the pros...

1) Not too big, not too small. Perfect for us. Fits just fine in our kitchen and dining room.

2) Sturdy enough to withstand the torture of a future stuntwoman, acrobat or daredevil. A full year of use and it looks brand new.

3) Easy to clean, the pad wipes clean very easily. Have to be extra careful to get the trapped food as mentioned above, but the parts themselves are easy to clean, especially if you attend to it right away.

Updated: As I removed the cushion from my daughter's chair, I noticed the back strap holding it to the chair was already tearing away. So "Pro #1" is off the list. I'd change it down to a 1 star, but the page isn't giving me that option.

Pros (not nearly enough to outweigh the cons, but enough to make me feel bad giving it 1 star):
1) It is very nicely made. The fabric seems durable, and the seams look well done.
2) The fabric wipes off better than a cloth seat cushion.

Cons:
1) It is a quite thick booster, and not really adjustable at all. I expected to be able to pat the beads around to arrange it to the height my 2 yr old daughter would need, but there is no way to remove any of the filling, and only a tiny bit of the filling can actually be shoved out of the way due to the shape in which the cushion is sewn. When my daughter is sitting in it, she can't get her legs under the table, so she has to sit pretty far back from the table and food gets all over her lap.

2) My daughter can't climb in and out of the chair anymore. She could easily climb in and out of her high chair that strapped to the dining room chair, so it's not like she isn't capable of climbing fairly well. We've been using this highchair for about 2 months now and we are pleased. It isn't actually all that I had hoped for, but we do like it. We really wanted something that we could enjoy adding to our household long term as a piece of dining room furniture that went well with the set.
This chair does that nicely. The chair came with 'some assembly required' but it was really just putting the top onto the base and was very easy, my husband handled it in minutes. Once it was together we realized that it was shorter than we had expected. This is not a problem for us as we are short people and it actually fits with the height of the table pretty well, but if you are considering this purchase, do note the height meausurement given so you aren't surprised. The construction of the chair is very solid and seems sturdy and well done - we expect it to last through our future children with no real problem despite our frequent moves and hope it will even remain suitable for some grandkids down the line. The highchair is everything that I hoped it would be as far as looks, it is a beautiful thing.
Our only real disappointment is the way the seat/tray works. First, there is a bar across the seat that I never noticed in pictures. It actually makes the seat safer, especially for use without the tray, but it is also one more thing to have to think about and work around in putting the baby in or getting the baby out. The belt simply lays on the seat after coming up through a slit in the back instead of being secured on both sides under the chair. It's hard to explain, but the upshot is that if we do not pay very particular attention, our daughter ends up with the belt buckled very low and awkwardly...sort of around her thighs instead of around her waist. We had to learn to put the tray on. To attach it you have to pull up on levers on both sides at once and then slide it onto the tracks very evenly. It is definitely not a one handed operation.
On the positive side, as I said it seems very well constructed and it is very attractive. It also seems to hold the baby very securely. I would reccomend this highchair if someone is looking for a traditional sort of wooden chair and is interested in an heirloom quality piece of furniture. Okay, I was hesitant to buy this for our Tripp Trapp, but as we wanted to use it with our then-5 month old, we didn't have any choices as the old baby rail is discontinued and doesn't fit with the new model Tripp Trapps anyway.

We took the plunge. I have no idea what all the problems described in other reviews are about, because this set works great for us. We have no problems putting our 7 1/2 month old into this chair and baby rail set. We don't have any cushions installed because he makes a mess when he eats and would just get the cushions all dirty. But, we got a good deal and free cushions with the set so I just put them away for later. We don't usually use the seat belt presently because he likes sitting in the chair and doesn't try to escape. He just sits on top of the seat belt for now.

My son is about 27 inches tall and weighs at least 19 pounds. He's a very long and lean little guy. He sits up very well on his own now, but even before he was sitting well without help, he could sit in the Tripp Trapp with the baby rail and eat at the dinner table with us. The rail doesn't make him too far away from the table. In fact, I'm surprised at how far he can reach. We give him graham crackers to chew, and he can put them down on the table in front of him and pick them up as he likes.

We think he likes sitting here and eating so much better than when he had to sit on the floor in the bouncy seat to eat. Now, he's entertained sitting at our level during dinner. Thanks to the baby set which we added to the Tripp Trapp, he can do this at an earlier age. I do have to say that there is a potential for food to drip down between him and the baby rail when he leans back, but we use the Baby Bjorn bibs which have a great tray for catching food drips. I liked the modern design of this booster, but thought the strap design was very poor. Who thought it would be a good idea for the strap that connects the booster to the seat be attached to the straps that keep the kid in the seat? And the straps didn't even fit our chair, didn't tighten enough. My 3 yo son would move so the booster would raise off the chair and sometimes almost topple him and the chair out.

I called the company, as I unfortunately waited too long to return the product to Amazon, and they offered to send new straps. Basically there's the original strap, plus another one that straps the booster to the back of the seat as well. Now he sits better and the seat is much safer. It's still annoying when the straps that keep him in place fall through the holes and I have to dig for it though.

We got this chair when my daughter was about 7 months old and now that she is over 2 she still uses this chair every day and enjoys it very much. She has always sat at the table with us, it has always kept her supported and no matter how long food was left on (it's funny how you miss some of the splatters) it was always pretty easy to clean off and I never felt I was going to break the chair from scrubbing, most of the time the disinfecting wipes would do the trick when cleaning after they are done eating.
